Early Morning Pin-Up Art is My Vibe

Early Morning Pin-Up Art is My Vibe

I have been in love with pin-up art since I was around sixteen years old.

My interest was generated in sort of an adorable way.

When I was on exchange in France, as a teenager, I would get up early, before school, so that I could catch an American evening news broadcast that they would replay on French television first thing the next morning.

It was the first broadcast of the day – you know – back when networks went β€œoff” at night.

The first thing that would come on when the channel started in the morning was a model, dressed up in a gorgeous pin-up style costume, hair and make-up done, posing on a rotating stage on center screen.

It was on for like, thirty seconds to a minute. I think they just did one full rotation of the model. It was one of my favorite things about France, I shit you not.

Of course, this was several years before I came out as bisexual, and probably something that I missed before remembering it all much later in life.

It was weird too. France is really weird, in some ways that I really like, and in some ways that I like a lot less.

I went searching and actually found a YouTube video if you’re interested in taking a peek.
